why should we elect Mahinda again ?
True, we have a fair bit of criticism against Mahinda. We all expect a change, but this change can’t take us from BAD to WORSE.
Sarath Fonseka (SF) contesting, not because he loves the country or its people, but he’s worried over removing his powers and what the government did to him. In other words, due to his “Personal Matters”. 
When this election campaign started, we had some faith on an “Alternative” candidate for we were expecting a change. But sadly Sarathe Fonseka kept on compromising his own words. The Sunday Leader story is a very good example, that he’d do anything for the sake of power with his goons. 
The words he was using during public meetings and media proved some of the allegations raised by many opponents on what he would be.
Sarath Fonseka doesn’t carry the bare minimal decency for his opponents, a sign which we expect from a person representing a civilized society. Instead, his insulting words proved his caliber and what/whom he represents in a civilized society.
We need democracy at first, which is the most important thing besides the rest, we can’t expect democracy from JVP+UNP led SF. If you are aware of their past, that speaks the truth.. and reveal you who they are and for what they’re up to. SF doesn’t have any goods to back what he’d presented as his “proposal” to build the country other than empty words.
If you’ve had observed his meetings, he spent 90% of his time bashing others. We didn’t expect the same petty politics from him. But a mature approach on building the country, which we sadly didn’t see throughout his campaign.
We need a change, but that change can’t be Sarath Fonseka, he had already proved who he is. Even though Mahinda isn’t that good either, we’re left with not much options but Mahinda.
At least we know Mahinda didn’t sell any state properties/organisations like what Chandrika and Ranil did. At least he demonstrated that he’s indeed a good leader when coping with the international pressure during the last phase of the war.
If people want to screw up and regret and repent for their entire life span, they can go ahead and vote for SF… you can live with disaster..
If you want to prevent the disaster, what’s hanging by a thread.. Mahinda would be the ultimate choice. Therefore, I recon voting Mahinda at this crucial stage is the best decision , you could take.
